MAC EMERGENCY FUND FOR PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS

The Museum of Contemporary Art of PR ( MAC ) calls on people and companies that can join to collaborate with a donation so that the Fund can satisfactorily cover the artists affected by the passage of Hurricane FIONA.

ABOUT THE EMERGENCY FUND FOR ARTISTS IN PUERTO RICO

The Fund was created by the MAC in 1997, with the purpose of offering financial aid to artists in the event that they are affected by a temporary need. The Fund is nourished by donations that are collected through activities that are organized annually at the initiative of the Museum with the collaboration and participation of the artists themselves. The funds collected are accounted for by the Museum with the participation of an Accountant who certifies the amount collected. The Museum proceeds to disburse the funds once it is authorized by the Committee constituted for these purposes by the CPAJosé Javier Negrón (MAC Board of Directors), the architect Jaime Suárez (Representative of the Artists) and Marianne Ramírez Aponte, Executive Director and Chief Curator of the Museum.

The Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico (MAC) is an exempt non-profit organization in Puerto Rico and the United States under the Internal Revenue Code section 1101.01 and 501(c)(3) respectively, so donations are tax deductible. income tax, to the extent permitted by law.
